My Interest in Therapy
Helping others achieve their dreams has always been a part of my life, whether it was the dream of home ownership in my early years in real estate or the dream of health as a fitness instructor in my thirties. And as I entered my forties and considered a future career in ministry, I felt called to pursue a life of helping others through coaching and counseling, bringing together all I had learned over the decades in my own life seeking health and wellness-physically, emotionally and spiritually.
My Therapy Perspective
I know the healing power of working with a therapist personally. Life is challenging, and therapists are not immune to these challenges. Working through depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, identity conflicts, relationship issues and the myriad of challenges that we all may face at one time or another with the help of a trained professional can make the difference between merely dreaming of the life you want and actually living out that dream.
LGBTQ+ & Christianity
My passion is working with LGBTQ+ people and the people who love them in a way that affirms and celebrates all identities. I recognize the challenges of just living everyday life in our current social and political climate. As the Mama Bear of two wonderful LGBTQ+-identified young adults, I have experienced firsthand not only the joys, but the heartaches that come as someone I love strives to live their authentic selves in a world that is proving itself not quite ready to embrace those that are outside of the cisgender or heterosexual boxes. And this can be especially true for those who are Christian or who were raised in a religious background. The spiritual trauma that is often experienced after a coming out experience, even in an environment of familial acceptance, is not uncommon for all involved. Feelings of anxiety, grief, loss and confusion are normal as one navigates life as Christian and LGBTQ+ identified or affirming. I am here to walk with you to a place of peace and hope, leaning into the love that God has for ALL.

My Interest in Life
When I am not working, my husband of 25 years and I love to explore nature together-camping, hiking and kayaking. I love to sing, and while I don’t get center stage often these days, I get my fill by enjoying musical theater with my family.
